According to Screaming Stone (a musical instrument recovery project) 1 Million musical instruments are stolen in the United States. Only 3% are recovered. We've been in the live music industry for some time (producing shows, including a long-running effort called "Ultimate Jam Night" at the Whisky A Go Go). We have personal friendships with some of music's biggest names. we know the pain of instrument loss. An instrument isn't just a "tool" that can be insured and replaced, it's an extension of the artistry. In 2009 B.B. King had "Lucille" stolen from him, only to luckily be recovered many months later. Can you imagine B.B. King without "Lucille"? Neither can we.
